SOUTH PLAINS VETERINARY CLINIC

When scheduling a surgical procedure, a deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your pet’s place on our surgery schedule.
Deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled procedure or in the event of a missed appointment (no-show).
This policy is necessary to ensure our surgical schedule is utilized effectively and to prevent last-minute openings that limit our ability to accommodate other patients. It also ensures that dedicated surgical time is not withheld from other patients in need of care.

South Plains Veterinary Clinic provides acupuncture for horses, as well as dogs. Whether you are looking for a new acupuncturist in the South Plains Area or just doing research to decide if acupuncture is right for your pet, we are here to provide the help you need.
Acupuncture is a holistic healing practice employed in Chinese medicine developed thousands of years ago. When it comes to acupuncture for horses, dogs, or other mammals, the goal is to return balance to the energy flow in the physical body. Studies in both animals and humans have shown evidence that acupuncture can cause biological responses within the central nervous system, that sends messages to the brain. Chinese medicine believes this response is due to the energy flow through the body’s meridians, or pathways, which activates physiological responses.
We provide the advantages of laser therapy to all species of animals under our care. We have two separate therapy lasers that can be calibrated to treat either large or small animals, ensuring that your animal is receiving the proper treatment specific to his or her species, size, and needs.
Laser therapy is safe, noninvasive, painless, and has no known side effects. In some cases, laser therapy can reduce or eliminate the use of pharmaceutical pain relievers. Treatment times are brief, and no special prep (like shaving or sedation) is necessary.
